Larijani condemns terror bombing in Pakistan

TEHRAN, Mar. 29 (MNA) – In a letter to the chairman of Pakistan's Senate, Ali Larijani extended condolences to the government and nation of Pakistan on the terrorist act of Sunday in Lahore.

With the deepest sorrow and heaviest grief I was informed that a terrorist suicide bombing in Pakistani city of Lahore killed many innocent women and children, reads in part of a message issued on Tuesday by Ali Larijani, the Speaker of Iran's Parliament.

According to the public relations office of Iran's Parliament, the letter is addressed to Raza Rabbani, the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, who got on the chair on March 12, 2015.

In addition to condemning the heinous act, Larijani extends sympathy to the Pakistani senators, people, and government along with the addressee.

Mr. Chairman, I am sure that these acts to destabilize and create friction in the Islamic World are to the benefits and interests of the illegitimate regime of Israel and the enemies of the stability, security and solidarity of the Islamic nation, reassured Larijani in another part of the message.

The Iranian top lawmaker reaffirms that assuredly terrorism and extremism have nothing to do with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and are dire contrast with the principles of Islam.

I intend to re-stress that the Islamic Republic of Iran values the security and stability of Pakistan in line with the peace and stability of the region and the Islamic world, says Larijani stating that Iran supports all the measures contributive to the the peace in Pakistan.
